Sculoo was founded by Jesse Hile and Dr. Jeff Pedersen, two leaders who spent decades working alongside educators, students, and families. They met at a leadership conference and quickly aligned on a shared belief — students are capable of more, and the adults who support them, teachers and parents alike, deserve tools to help them succeed.

In school classrooms and homeschool environments, they saw a growing challenge. Students were struggling with self-regulation, focus, and independence — skills essential not just for academics, but for life. Educators were being asked to manage increasing behavioral needs while still delivering high-quality instruction. At the same time, parents, including homeschool parents, were navigating these same challenges without consistent support or simple, effective solutions.

To advance Jeff and Jesse's vision, Max Lingenfelter joined the team to develop and support software and infrastructure. Together, they developed a platform designed to serve diverse educational environments spanning home, school, and the broader world.

Sculoo was built to support the entire learning ecosystem — students, educators, schools, and families.

Founders, Sculoo

In just five focused minutes a day, students build self-regulation, independence, and real-world, employability-ready habits. Whether in a classroom, a homeschool setting, or as a parental tool for extra support, these simple daily practices help students stay engaged, build strong employability skills, and show up ready to learn for academic success.

As students strengthen these foundational skills, classrooms become more focused, instructional time is protected, and teachers are freed to do what they do best — teach. At home, parents gain a practical, structured way to support their child's growth in leadership and employability skills needed for their future.

A small daily practice, designed to create meaningful change —
for students, for educators, and for families.
